Music Ministry

The Music Ministry at Holy Cross Parish exists to deepen the faith of the congregation, by assisting in communal singing as well as setting the tone for the celebration of the mass. See below for the many ways to become involved with our Music Ministry. Adult Choir

This choir is open to all adults that want to share their gifts and talents with singing at our
10:30 am Sunday Liturgy. Practice times are 7:00 pm on Wednesday nights in the church choir loft.

Children’s Choir

This choir is open to all children between the grades of 3rd and 8th. This choir will sing once a month for the 10:30 am Sunday Liturgy. Practices last 60 minutes and start at 6:00 pm on Tuesday nights in the church’s Choir Loft. No Auditions are required.

Handbell Choir

This choir is open to high school students and adults. This group plays for several major celebrations in the church calendar year: Christmas, Easter, Pentecost, and Exaltation of the Cross. Practices are from 6:00 pm till 9:00 pm on Tuesday nights in the church’s Choir Loft. No Musical Experience required, just a willingness to learn.

Guitar Ensemble

This ensemble plays for the Saturday evening 4:30 pm Liturgies and is open to anyone who would like to play an instrument or sing for this mass. A short audition is required for instrumentalists, but they decide their own schedules.

Instrumentalists

Instrumentalists such as woodwind, brass, strings, or percussion are all welcome and utilized throughout the year and special liturgies. There are no formal practice times as musicians will set their own schedules. A short audition is required.

Non-Musical Volunteers

Even if you want to get involved, but your gift is not music, we would truly appreciate the help! There are many ways to help: with practices, care for the musical library, administration, and more. For more information on how to get involved, please contact Tony Wagner.
